As the Apprentice Automotive Mechanic in our client’s repair shop, you’ll assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing automotive vehicles. To succeed in this position, you have to be excited about an opportunity to learn and grow your career in automotive mechanics.

Work location is in the RM of Turtle Mountain.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Assist Automotive Mechanic to diagnose, service, maintain, and conduct necessary repairs to automotive vehicles.
  • Communicate consistently with the Automotive Mechanic on the completion of repairs/service in order to continuously follow the service schedule.
  • Complete oil changes, service, repair and replace tires, conduct wheel alignments, and any other duties as assigned by the Automotive Mechanic.
  • Work as part of a team to support the daily needs of the shop and ensure customers are satisfied.
  • Clean as work is completed, keeping the shop clean and organized at all times.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Must have some education or experience in Automotive mechanics and the desire to learn and work towards becoming a Certified Journeyman Automotive Mechanic.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License.
  • A basic set of sockets, wrenches, and impacts is an asset.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be capable of learning new industry specific programs/software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced shop and multitask to work on multiple projects.
  • Must be focused on providing a positive customer experience at all times.
  • Must be able to work independently and take initiative, with motivation to complete work.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
