Job Description

Dauphin Consumers Co-op is hiring a Health & Safety Advisor in their Administration department in Dauphin, MB. You’ll work with the Human Resources Manager to lead and maintain safety programs across 8 locations and support a culture of safety and compliance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain workplace health & safety programs
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations and internal policies
  • Coordinate and facilitate required safety training
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
  • Partner with management on safety improvements and provide expert guidance
  • Provide support on accommodation programs
  • Monitor departmental compliance with National Safety Code requirements
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and assist with inspections

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., CRSP, CHSC) preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in health & safety, ideally in retail, petroleum, agriculture, or construction
  • Strong knowledge of provincial and federal health & safety regulations
  • Skilled in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and managing priorities independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to travel to multiple sites
