Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Operations Assistant to join Rivers team. The role involves operating, adjusting, repairing, and maintaining industry-related equipment, including anhydrous wagons, fertilizer plants, equipment, and vehicles. Work is performed with minimal supervision, requiring the ability to rely on personal experience and judgment to meet goals. The individual must ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with safety standards and industry regulations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components using hand tools and equipment
• Test and adjust repaired systems for proper performance
• Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment
• Blend granular and liquid fertilizer to recommended rates/batches
• Receive and load fertilizer, seed and crop protection products
• Provide customer service to growers while focusing on developing long term relationships
• Ability to operate and maintain dry and liquid fertilizer blending plants

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably within agriculture and mechanical maintenance
• Valid Class 5 Manitoba License
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to work safely and collaborate with location staff.
• Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementation skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Must be flexible with schedule of working hours and workdays including nights and weekends
