Assembly Technician

Job Description

Do you enjoy innovation, technology, and working with your hands? Oakland Products Ltd. is looking to add an Assembly Technician to their team of skilled workers, building advanced Grain Dryers. The Assembly Technician will be part of a 6 to 8 person team, tasked with assembling the Grain Dryers, using prefabricated sheet metal, beams, joists, frame material, and various other parts.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

• Consistent Monday through Friday work, with Full-Time Hours.

• Forklift Training

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Assemble parts and sheet metal to Oaklands’ quality and workmanship standards.
• Operate various hand tools.
• Ensure accuracy of part count to work order quantity.
• Monitor shop inventory levels and keeps the shop clean and organized.
• Trouble-shoot and problem solve as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Class 5 Driver’s License, due to remote location. (15 minutes South of Brandon, MB)
• Mechanically Inclined
• Open to learning and operating various tools and machinery
• Ability to read blueprints
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work at heights and lift 50 lbs (25 kg).
