GENERAL MANAGER – WAYWAYSEECAPPO FOOD MART
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead all aspects of our store operations. In this role, you will be responsible for driving store profitability, managing inventory, and ensuring product availability while maintaining high standards of service and customer satisfaction. You will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, foster a positive work culture, and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to safety, health, and food standards, while working to achieve both financial and operational goals. Your leadership will be vital in delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the overall success of the store.
The hours of work for this role will vary but will mainly be Monday to Friday, days. Depending on scheduling and operational needs, the General Manager will also flex their time in helping to ensure the store operates effectively during the evenings and weekends.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Oversee all daily store operations (e.g., produce, meat, deli, grocery, and front-end).
- Responsible in achieving sales, productivity, and profitability targets.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, minimize waste / stock outs
- Lead the recruitment, onboarding and training processes.
- Monitor budgets and control expenses
- Schedule and allocate shifts to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and provincial/federal food safety standards.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to strategies for sales growth and margin improvement
- Oversee the cleanliness, organization, and merchandising of the store.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail or grocery store management.
- Knowledge of grocery retail operations, merchandising, & inventory mgmt.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills and ability to inspire & motivate a diverse workforce.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving results.
- High school diploma, (post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field is an asset).
