Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director to lead our Sales & Marketing Teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, and a deep understanding of, or willingness to learn, about our products, services and industry. You will have the ability to motivate and inspire the teams to achieve sales targets and play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, implementing effective sales strategies and maintaining our exceptional customer service standards.

The Sales & Marketing Director is a member of the management team assisting in the delivery of our mission, and vision while upholding our values. Key highlights of the position will include:

  • Development of a Sales Strategy to achieve established goals and targets for B2B and B2C Channels
  • Lead Market Expansion in Manitoba and Alberta to deliver on our company’s positioning of “Serving Western Canada for over 140 years”
  • Development of a Marketing Program (traditional and digital) to support Sales Strategies
  • Development of the Customer Service Team to support our Sales Strategy


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience and track record in sales management, preferably a multi-channel role (B2B and B2C)
  • Strong Industry knowledge and experience in distribution and retail, with a preference to office supplies and furniture products
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Christie’s Office Plus was founded in 1881 in Brandon, Manitoba and has expanded from its roots in servicing the educational markets across western Canada to a full-service office and educational supplier. Christie’s is a privately held, 100% Canadian owned company, with offices in Manitoba (Brandon and Winnipeg) and Prairie Office Plus in Red Deer, Alberta.  The office products division of our company supplies a full line of traditional office products and furniture, computer consumables and peripherals as well as breakroom and cleaning supplies. The educational division adds most of the supplies found in today’s classrooms including art and craft supplies, teaching aids and school furnishings.
