Acres Industries Inc. has been manufacturing high-quality, reliable Emergency Vehicles for over 30 years and is seeking a Certified Engineering Technologist to join its team. This role is responsible for designing and modelling structural components, sheet-metal parts and assemblies, preparing production drawings and bills of materials, maintaining as-built data, and supporting manufacturing and inventory processes through ERP systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong 3D modelling skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and a collaborative approach to designing and manufacturing quality Acres Emergency Vehicles.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Design and model structural components of apparatus bodies and systems (like service boxes, pump houses, and mounting systems for equipment)
• Maintain and manage individual designs and layouts
• Demonstrated proficiency in 3D modeling of sheet-metal parts, assemblies, and production drawings.
• Produce bill of materials and program manufacturing database
• Manage and maintain as-built data
• Ability to work with ERP software to track project inputs and support inventory management.
• Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Post Secondary Education in Engineering Technology and 2 years of relevant experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.)
• Certified Engineering Technologist designation.
• Previous design experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated experience developing practical, production-ready designs.
• Knowledge of sheet metal design (steel, stainless, aluminum)
• Experience using Solidworks or related 3D CAD design software.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and Clear Driver’s Abstract
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and learn new technology.
• Ability to be analytical and solve complex and unusual problems.
• Ability to take initiative with a high level of independent judgment.
• Ability to build relationships and work effectively with co-workers, management, outside organizations and clients.
