Join our team as an Electrical Engineer and lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and agricultural construction projects. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure code compliance, solve technical challenges, and support projects from design through commissioning—helping deliver safe, efficient, and reliable solutions on time and on budget.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design, review, and coordinate electrical systems for building projects.
  • Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all designs and installations comply with applicable codes, regulations, standards, and safety requirements, including the Manitoba Electrical Code and Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, structural engineers, architects, contractors, and clients throughout project lifecycles.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, monitor construction progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and startup activities for electrical systems and equipment.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Preference will be given to candidates registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers & Geoscientists of Manitoba
  • Engineers-in-Training (EITs) with demonstrated ability to manage projects may also be considered.
  • Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s Licence
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, agricultural, construction.
  • Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with engineering software (AutoCAD, and Revit)
