WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Conduct full mechanical diagnostics and repairs on gas vehicles, including engines, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspensions, and exhaust systems.
- Perform approved MPI Safety Inspections and complete all associated documentation with accuracy and compliance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems, including wiring, sensors, modules, and onboard computers.
- Conduct preventative maintenance services such as fluid changes, tune-ups, and system inspections.
- Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and technical manuals to identify issues and determine repair strategies.
- Test-drive vehicles to confirm repairs and verify operational safety.
- Maintain clear service records, repair orders, and inspection logs.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Red Seal Certification – Automotive Service Technician required.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- MPI Safety Accreditation (or eligibility to obtain immediately upon hire).
- Minimum 3–5 years of automotive service experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with precision.
- Demonstrated electrical and electronic diagnostic skills; strong aptitude for modern vehicle electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and electronic schematics.
- Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy components and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask to work on multiple projects.
- Great communication and teamwork abilities.
