Automotive Mechanic

Job Description

As the Automotive Mechanic in our client’s repair shop, you’ll troubleshoot, diagnose and repair automotive vehicles. You’ll be a key leader in the shop, with the opportunity to apprentice junior mechanics and support the general operations in the shop by helping maintain the shop environment.

Work location is in the RM of Turtle Mountain.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Complete thorough and quality diagnostics, service, maintenance, necessary repairs to vehicles, and wheel alignments.
• Travel for service calls as needed, providing efficient on-site troubleshooting and repairs.
• Complete MPI Safety Inspections and repairs associated with safeties.
• Work as part of a team to support the daily needs of the shop and ensure customers are satisfied.
• Clean as work is completed, keeping the shop clean and organized at all times.
• Keep tools (Mechanics supply their own) organized and put away when finished.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Must be a Certified Journeyman Automotive Mechanic.
• Must be familiar with electronic and wiring related repairs.
• Certified, or willingness to become certified, to perform MPI Safety Inspections.
• Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License.
• Must be focused on providing a positive customer experience at all times.
• Team player with strong commitment to developing and training Apprentices.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
