Job Description

Dowse Manufacturing is hiring a Press Brake Operator! Is this you, or do you know someone in the area? This is a stable, full-time opportunity.

If you can read prints, understand bend sequences, and take pride in producing accurate, repeatable parts, we want to hear from you. Dowse Manufacturing is located just 15 km west of Winnipeg.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Set up and operate press brakes
• Select and install tooling for each job
• Read prints, bend notes, and job travelers
• Check parts using basic measuring tools (tape, calipers, angle finder, etc.)
• Verify angles, dimensions, and overall part quality
• Make adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized
• Work with the team to meet production goals

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Experience operating CNC press brakes in a fabrication shop
• Ability to read drawings and understand dimensions
• Familiarity with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Understanding of bend allowance and bend deduction is an asset
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand tools and machinery
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing quality work
• Forklift or crane experience is a plus (training is available)
