The Accounting Support Technician provides comprehensive bookkeeping, accounting,
taxation, and financial support services to external clients of the firm. This role is
responsible for managing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes,
preparing year-end working paper files and financial statements, supporting corporate
and personal income tax compliance, and assisting with controller services. The position
also provides specialized financial and record-keeping support to agricultural clients while
delivering accurate, timely, and client-focused service.
We are seeking candidates to fill positions in both our Brandon and Hamiota locations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Provide bookkeeping and accounting support for a portfolio of clients, including
monthly, quarterly, and annual record-keeping activities.
• Prepare and process payroll, government remittances, and account reconciliations to
ensure accurate financial records.
• Prepare personal and corporate income tax returns while ensuring compliance with
applicable tax legislation and filing deadlines.
• Assist with year-end engagements, including the preparation of working paper files,
financial statements, and supporting documentation.
• Support agricultural and small business clients with financial reporting, record
keeping, and accounting-related inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver exceptional service, accurate
financial information, and timely solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE HOPE YOU WILL BRING:
• Post-secondary certificate or coursework in accounting or bookkeeping, or applicable
experience.
• Completion of tax preparation courses, CRA tax knowledge, or tax software training
considered an asset.
• Accounting knowledge applicable to the preparation of financial statements, ensuring
accuracy and compliance.
• Experience with corporate/personal/farm taxes and AgriStability considered an asset.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, iFirm, Simply Accounting,
Ag Expert, as well as Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience in completing working paper files in an accounting environment is highly
advantageous.
• Experience or familiarity with agriculture and farming industries is considered a strong
asset due to the nature of our clientele.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
