Job Description

The Site Supervisor position with Redfern Farm Services is a great opportunity to utilize your mechanical knowledge while contributing to the overall functioning of the location. The Site Supervisor oversees the functioning of the yard/fertilizer plant and the activities within, including operating, repairing, and maintaining, skid steers, forklifts, fertilizer plant equipment, and other small equipment. This position also oversees staff and delegates tasks.

If you’re mechanically inclined and have some related experience, we are willing to provide all the training and mentorship required for you to succeed in this position!

The work location for this position is Virden, Manitoba.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Coordinate and oversee duties of employees on site.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components using hand tools and equipment.
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance service on small equipment.
• Maintain and increase the efficiency of day-to-day operations of the location.
• Provide customer service to growers while focusing on developing long term relationships.
• Operate and maintain nh3, dry and liquid fertilizer blending plants.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Experience in a similar position, preferably in the agriculture industry.
• Must have (or be willing to get) a valid Class 3 Manitoba License with air endorsement.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must be mechanically inclined with the ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on small equipment.
• Previous customer service and supervisory experience is an asset.
