As Assistant Director of Care, you’ll work alongside the Director of Care to support and lead a dedicated clinical team, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centered care. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead assigned clinical programs and support high-quality resident care.
  • Partner with the Director of Care, care teams, residents, and families.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Drive quality improvement and support a safe care environment.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your team.
  • Build positive relationships with community partners and promote Extendicare’s values.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Current registration/licensing as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the applicable provincial regulatory body.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in long-term care, plus preference of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Solid clinical knowledge and a commitment to high-quality resident care.
  • Experience with electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
